1) See if you meet Basic Qualifications (see below)
2) Determine which area of training to take
3) CLICK HERE and register.
4) EMAIL WIATT and tell him that you registered for training so he can write the required letter of recommendation.
What is the purpose of Disaster Relief?
To prepare, equip, train, and mobilize churches and volunteers to fulfill the Great Commission by meeting real needs and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with those whose lives have been or will be affected by disasters. SBTC Disaster Relief Ministry provides training in several areas of ministry. When disaster occur, volunteer teams may be asked to mobilize in Texas, North America, or internationally, depending on the nature and scope of the disaster. In order to be deployed by the SBTC, volunteers must have completed training.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS for TRAINING
(1) Be an active member of a Southern Baptist church.
(2) Have a letter of recommendation from the Pastor on church letterhead for the individual(s) from that church.
(3) Be at least 18 years old.
(4) Be in good health.
(5) Have a servant heart.
